Using Direct Marketing lists
By now, you’ve probably heard the saying, “the money is in the list.”
No? Well, I guess I put a new twist on an old expression.
But it’s true! I can’t think of a more efficient, profitable, and cost-effective way to target hundreds or even thousands of people with a highly targeted direct marketing list and material. In this article, I will give five reasons to start using a direct marketing list today.
1. You can reach your audience in seconds by Email
Deploying an opt-in email list allows you to reach thousands of potential customers in a second. All you have to do is formulate your newsletter or offer and send it to your list broker, who’ll send it out at the push of a button. I don’t know of any other direct marketing method that allows you to do that.
2. It’s cost-effective to do email marketing
When you take the time to narrow down your target market so that your offer is only seen by your ideal prospects, you can be assured that it’s more cost-effective than traditional methods such as print advertising, radio, or TV. Even if you pay someone to write the copy and design the creative (which you should, in my opinion), you’ll still spend less than if you’d sent out mailers to thousands of generic, un-targeted people in hopes that they buy your product.
3. You can follow up again and again by mail
Another great advantage of direct marketing is that you can negotiate for multiple uses of a postal list, which allows you to follow up with your prospects. You can use your mailing list to launch or introduce an update to a particular product. Then you can send it to that list again and again. The majority of sales happen after the first send. You must send your offer more than once. Sending it only one time means you are stepping over potential revenue.
4. You can use your campaign as a focus group
You can conduct a survey and make changes to your offer accordingly. Anyone who responds can now be classified as a responder, and that’s a wonderful list! This is a list of people who have raised their hand and said, Yes, I am interested in your product or services. Every time you do an opt-in email marketing campaign, you will collect the names and contact information of those who respond, and your in-house list will grow.
5. List Brokers make it super simple and efficient
Using a qualified list broker is one of the easiest ways to market to your audience. A good list broker will show you how to target your message exactly to your ideal prospects. It’s also incredibly efficient since you’ll be marketing to pre-selected prospective buyers only that have already shown some kind of interest, just by which list they are on. For example, dog lovers subscribe to dog magazines, golfers to golf magazines, and so on. In any business, the hardest part is building your list. That’s why renting a list to target new customers is the best way to build up your in-house list.
Direct marketing using mailing lists or opt-in email lists is one of the fastest, most efficient, and cost-effective ways to target a specific audience. It allows you to monitor your audience and modify your marketing material and products. You should think about using the power of a list if you’re not already using one. This way, you’ll be able to cut your direct marketing costs and increase your profits simultaneously.
