Specialty Mailing Lists

When we first start working with a new client, they usually ask us, “So, what kind of lists do you have?” and we reply, “Who do you want to reach?” We’re not trying to be cheeky, but thousands of specialty lists exist.

When you think about it, all lists are specialty lists.

Every time a list is pulled, it is completely customized for the client based on all the selects or filters available.

When you consider that we can get subscribers to all kinds of magazines, lists of people who have been surveyed, lists of purchasers, decision-makers, college alumni, donors to specific causes… You name it, and we can find it (almost!). We love a challenge, so be sure to contact us immediately with your ideal target market and put us to the test!

Sometimes, specialty lists are only limited by your imagination.

When a client comes to us and explains their project and who they’re looking for, we first ask ourselves, “Who would have put together this type of list?” Most of the time, it’s obvious.

For example, if a client is looking to reach dog owners, we can get a list of people who subscribe to dog magazines, have purchased dog products, or have filled out a survey indicating they own a dog. However, sometimes it’s not that easy. We once had someone looking to find people who were excessively sweating! So… who would have that type of specialty list? Well, it turns out that such a list is available. You never know until you start looking.

What makes specialty lists different than complied lists?

First of all, the price. Specialty lists are more complicated and, therefore, more expensive. Remember that the list is generally the least costly part of your marketing campaign. The price varies considerably, but it’s roughly anywhere from 15 cents a name to a dollar, depending on the specialty list. Remember, the list owner sets the price, not us!

Specialty lists can be essential to your marketing campaign simply because they are so targeted.
